Most tools have one job. A TV shows programmes and an iron irons. Excel has no single job, and people use it for almost everything:
- Calculator. The simplest use.
- Database. Employee details, transactions, timesheets, learner and lead lists. Once the data is in, reports come easily.
- Data cleaning. Split a joined first and last name, or reshape data to present it differently.
With formulas and a little programming, Excel does these jobs far faster. Most people never get there. That is where we come in.
A real case. A client downloads two lists from his system: invoices issued and invoices paid. For every issued invoice, he checks by eye whether it appears in the paid list. If it does not, he writes a reminder email. There are thousands of records, and it took about an hour every day.

Excel Hack: why it works
Courses fail people in two ways. It is hard to apply them to your actual work, and you often need more than the course covers. So we picked the topics learners most often need and put them in two short video series.
